Description
Biomass Wood Chips:
After the extraction of eucalyptus wood, it can basically be transformed into two different forms: Log with bark and without bark.
Log with bark: it is cut at the ends of the tree and debranched.
Log without bark: it is cut at the ends of the tree and peeled. After this process, they are left in the field for drying and stacking, to then be loaded and transported to the biomass processing unit or sold and taken directly to the customer.
This format allows for use in boilers, sawmills, constructions, and many other utilities. The chips, with or without bark, go through the chipper and are transformed into small wood chips. In the case of the chips, the wood is chopped and stored for shipping to the customer.
Given the differences between log wood and wood chips, it is intuitive that their uses are distinct, requiring an initial evaluation to determine which product to choose.
The use of chips for energy, for example, is a very popular way of utilization in the industry, where logs also have their place.
