Low moisture content. Plant empty capsules have a 60% less water content than gelatin capsules, which is very suitable for water-sensitive drugs, and the water content of the capsules is very low. (5% to 6% R.H. 50% R.H.), exposure to high humidity conditions does not maintain high humidity levels.

To assess the crosslinking effect, vegetable capsules were pre-filled with 40 ppm formaldehyde (a known crosslinking agent) and stored for three months. These test capsules are then emptied and refilled with acetaminophen and tested according to THE USP monograph. The test results show that the dissolution of the test capsules matches those capsules that have not been exposed to formaldehyde.
